
On 24th June 2020 His Royal Highness King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands visited the municipality of Borger-Odoorn in the Province of Drenthe. The purpose of the king’s visit was to enable him to see for himself the commercial impact of the coronavirus on tourist businesses in the region.
During his informal visit, the king held discussions with a group of local business entrepreneurs and enjoyed a guided tour of the Hunebed Centre with director Harrie Wolters.
King Willem-Alexander was accompanied during his visit by Jetta Kleinsma, Royal Commissioner for Drenthe, and Jan Seton, mayor of Borger-Odoorn.
